Hospital Birth

If you’re seeking holistic midwifery care but prefer or need to give birth in a hospital setting, this option is a great fit for you.

At The Knox Birth Center, we honor your preferences by supporting your choices whether you birth at home, in our center, or in the hospital. With this option, you’ll receive the same personalized prenatal and postpartum midwifery care as all of our clients, including:

• Comprehensive prenatal visits
• Individualized education and guidance
• Postpartum care through six weeks after birth

You also have the option to be accompanied by one of our experienced doulas at the hospital, providing additional emotional and physical support throughout your labor and birth.

Changing Your Birth Plan

We understand that your preferences may evolve throughout pregnancy. If you choose to switch from a hospital birth to a birth center or home birth, you are welcome to do so. However, this transition must be confirmed by 36 weeks of pregnancy, and a new contract will be established with our practice to reflect your updated birth plan.

This option is ideal for families who want the nurturing, connected experience of midwifery care while giving birth in a hospital setting.
